River Song Got Married!......I Think

So...."The Wedding of River Song" happened on the weekend. Before I get started, I'd like to point out these rules from Twitter:

1. The Doctor lies
2. Steven Moffat lies

Steven Moffat has said in interviews that the Doctor seen at the lake was the real Doctor and he really DID DIE. Turns out, that was a lie. It was actually the Tesselecta, in Doctor form. So a robot Doctor was killed. Cop-out. -sigh-

This episode really confused me. Why exactly did The Doctor and River get married? What's with the whole Area 52 thing? Is Kovarian still alive? Does anyone remember the aborted timeline? I'm just so confused. Maybe I missed a few things, but I can't face a re-watch of the episode just yet.

I could go on for a while about the things I didn't like about this episode, but I'll spare you from all the negativity. Instead, I'll give you a screenshot from the best part of the episode:
